The "NextGen Hero" young talent award will be presented as part of the Digital Economy Award Night at the Hallenstadion in Zurich.
The award is given to a personality between the age of 20 and 28 who has the extraordinary potential to help shape the digital future of Switzerland. Candidates are nominated by educational institutes and the public.
In total, more than 40 jurors are examining the ideas, projects and companies at the Digital Economy Award. In each category, specialists are involved in the analysis and evaluation of the entries. For each category, the expert group is chaired by one jury president.

Since 2018, the Digital Economy Award has stood for outstanding achievements in Switzerland's digital economy. It builds on the history of the Swiss ICT Awards (since 2004) and the Swiss Digital Transformation Awards (since 2015). With a clear, consistent goal: to have a lasting impact on digital Switzerland.
The award honours pioneers and thought leaders who break new ground with courage and responsibility and achieve measurable results. The focus is on technological innovations, strong entrepreneurial achievements and stories with a visible impact – both economically and socially.
The award-winning projects and personalities strengthen confidence in the digital economy, solve real challenges and show how digitalisation can be shaped in a responsible, inclusive and future-oriented way.
